Details:

The FBI's Los Angeles Field Office and Sheriff’s Detectives in Santa Barbara County, California, are asking for the public’s assistance in locating missing and at-risk 9-year-old Melodee Buzzard.  Law enforcement authorities attempted to contact Melodee and her mother, Ashlee Buzzard, at their home in the 500-block of Mars Avenue in Lompoc, California, after a school administrator reported Melodee's prolonged absence from school.  However, Melodee was not there and no clear explanation was provided for her whereabouts.  The investigation indicates that Melodee was with her mother as recently as October 7, 2025. It has also been determined that Ashlee may have driven with Melodee in a White Chevrolet Malibu (Lic #9MNG101) to locations outside of Santa Barbara County, California, to include as far as the state of Nebraska.  The vehicle was determined to be a rental car and is no longer in Ashlee’s possession.

Law enforcement authorities are seeking any information about Melodee’s current location or condition.
